Pandangan Luar Terhadap Indonesia

Di postingan kali ini saya akan posting tentang pandangan masyarakat luar negeri tentang Indonesia. Saya hanya mengambil contoh kecil saja, hanya dari komentar facebook di akun sang pemilik facebook, Mark Zuckerberg yang di status facebooknya  (ini status fb nya) menceritakan tentang kunjungan presiden Jokowi ke perusahaannya. Saya bukan sedang membahas atau promosi tentang presidennya, tapi saya sangat tertarik saat melihat komentar-komentar di status tersebut yang mana komentatornya dari berbagai negara. Komentar-komentarnya cukup membanggakan untuk Indonesia. Banyak orang luar yang memandang Indonesia baik, terutama yang terkenal adalah keramahan masyarakatnya. Mungkin ini bisa menjadi motivasi untuk kita warga Indonesia untuk bisa ramah dan santun pada siapa saja, khususnya pada sesama warga Indonesia sendiri, bukan hanya memperlihatkan keramahan pada warga asing.


Kita harus malu dengan pujian-pujian yang diberikan oleh masyarakat luar. Kita juga harus sadar bahwa perbedaan itu akan selalu ada, tapi jangan membuat kita terpecah-belah. Jangan merasa paling benar sendiri. Merasa benar boleh saja karena itu akan membuat kita teguh tak gampang terombang-ambing. Tapi merasa paling benar, disinilah biasanya masalah selalu muncul. Karena jika sudah merasa paling benar maka akan senang mengoreksi dan menyalahkan orang lain. 

Ini hanya sebagian saja komentar yang saya ambil. Mudah-mudahan kita bisa berkaca, bukan hanya bangga akan pujian tanpa menyadari pada kenyataan.

There are many reasons, but I will mention only three: Indonesia, the 4th most populous country in the world, is the largest Muslim-majority country in the world, with 87 percent of the population being Muslim -- and all living in peace. Also, there are 17,508 islands in Indonesia and 700 languages. Imagine managing all this diversity! And the great President Joko Widodo keeps this great country as a beacon of peace and freedom in the world. Indonesia has a lot to teach to the world, especially the great Muslim population living in harmony and showing the beauty of the Muslim people to the world. Congratulations Mark for having the Indonesian President visiting you. Here is to a future as diverse as Indonesia -- and peaceful too.
